Sabrina Carpenter stole the spotlight at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, channeling the playful and chic vibe of her Short n’ Sweet album with a show-stopping look.
The pop sensation dazzled in a vintage Bob Mackie gown, shimmering in a strapless white design fully covered in sequins. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline adorned with clear crystals, enhancing its romantic and sparkling appeal. What makes this gown truly iconic? It’s the very same piece Madonna wore to the 1991 Academy Awards, custom-made by Mackie after their memorable Vanity Fair collaboration — a stunning homage from one pop queen to another.

Carpenter’s look was completed with layers of diamonds, including long, dangling earrings, a bold statement necklace, and several rings. Even her pointy white manicure was encrusted with tiny crystals, adding a touch of extra sparkle.
For her glam, Carpenter went full Old Hollywood with silver eyeshadow and a striking red lip, while her blonde curls were styled in a glamorous blend of Marilyn Monroe and Dolly Parton.
