Channel 7 has released another sneak peek of the upcoming season of SAS Australia. This time, the trailer focuses on Aussie tennis legend Mark Philippoussis.
Being pushed to his absolute limits, the 44-year-old is hoping his experience on the show will make him “stronger and more complete” for his family.
Mark is a father of two and wants nothing more but to be a positive example to his children.
“When I’m on this course, I have to push through the pain,” he says. “I want to show my son as long as you keep going, as long as you keep believing, as long as you do not quit, you can achieve anything that you dream of.”
But he’s not just teaching his children to dream big, saying the lesson applies to him as well.
“As a kid I was such a dreamer,” the Davis Cup champion and former world number eight reveals. “I can’t remember the last time I’ve dreamt of something I wanted to do, or become. I’ve stopped dreaming.”
Mark is one of 18 Australian celebrities who will be going through a number of gruelling physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process.
The contestants will face intense interrogation from former camp soldier Ant Middleton.
Very few have the strength to make it to the end, will Mark be one of them?
