12 Shows Like “Suits” That Are Full of Workplace Drama

If you’re a fan of Gina Torres, you should check out her “Suits” spinoff series, “Pearson.” The show centers around her character, Jessica Pearson, who was once known as a powerhouse lawyer in New York City. However, after her license is revoked, she decides to begin a new life in Chicago and takes up a job as a fixer for the city’s mayor.

“The Lincoln Lawyer” is a legal drama based on the book series of the same name by Michael Connelly. The show stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as a criminal defense lawyer named Mickey Haller, who is determined to make a career comeback following an accident. Notably, he runs his law practice from the backseat of his Lincoln Navigator. While “Suits” centers around the legal world in New York City, “The Lincoln Lawyer” focuses on cases in Los Angeles.

“Psych” is about a young crime consultant named Shawn Spencer (James Roday Rodriguez) who works for the Santa Barbara Police Department. In the series, Jon Hamm plays an advertising executive named Don Draper who works for the Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City. In “White Collar,” Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) is a skilled con artist and thief who has been dodging the FBI for years. “Boston Legal” is a spinoff series of “The Practice” that ran for five seasons from 2004 to 2008. It follows the brilliant lawyer Alan Shore (James Spader) and his coworkers like Denny Crane (William Shatner) and Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen) as they work at a high-end law firm in Boston. Throughout the series, the group take on various civil and criminal cases.

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is a South Korean series starring Park Eun-bin as Woo Young-woo, a woman on the autism spectrum who works at a top law firm in Seoul called Hanbada. Similar to Mike in “Suits,” Young-woo combines her intelligence and photographic memory to solve tough legal cases as a rookie attorney. Although others initially see her as an outcast and the weakest link on their team, she quickly proves to everyone that she’s integral to Hanbada’s success.

In “Scandal,” Kerry Washington plays Olivia Pope, a former White House director of communications who launches her own crisis management firm. Olivia and her colleagues help their clients tackle political scandals while at the same time trying to keep their own secrets hidden from the public eye.

“Better Call Saul” is a legal drama that takes place within the “Breaking Bad” universe. It is set in Albuquerque, NM, and stars Bob Odenkirk as a con-artist-turned-lawyer named Jimmy McGill, who is trying to make a name for himself.
