Once in a blue moon, celebrities give us one moment that provides an infinite void of memes, jokes, and discourse. How one single meal can keep us fed for weeks, science is yet to figure out. It happened with the Venice premiere of “Don’t Worry Darling“, it happened with whatever went down between Kanye West and Julia Fox, and now it’s happening again with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and what may or may not be ranch.

ICYMI, Swift has been rumoured to be dating NFL superstar tight end, Travis Kelce, for a little while now. It was an out-of-the-blue rumour that was unbelievable at first but, much like we learned with Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, if you can’t believe a bit of celebrity news, it probably means it is true. Swift was perched in the box at the most recent Chiefs vs. Bears game, cheering on her own chief — Mr. Kelce. Alongside his mother, no less!

There are videos of her screaming, there are videos of her schmoozing Mrs. Kelce, and, there’s a picture of her posing with a fan next to a plate of chicken with ketchup and, as fan account @tswifterastour puts it, “seemingly ranch.”

If it’s not ranch, what is it? Aioli? Mayonnaise? Some sort of secret celeb ointment that guarantees her another decade of #1 albums? We might never know, and the internet is overcome with suspicion, speculation and memes.

Like the Bermuda Triangle and the Mandela effect before it, we might always be wracking our brains trying to figure out what condiment Taylor Swift had paired with her chicken. Our children’s children could make a breakthrough, but in the meantime, we might just have to relish the moment.
