He has a beaming smile and a personality of a Golden Retriever, so it’s safe to say any girl would be lucky to have Matt by their side. Asked to describe himself in five words, the 31-year-old said he’s happy, carefree, understanding, fun and compassionate.
Always up for a solid challenge, the metal fabricator from Queensland loves to meet new people, and he’s looking for someone equally as down-to-earth to share life’s most precious moments with.
“I’m an open book and always bettering myself,” he said about himself. Matt, who has grown up with two sisters, knows how to give love while also being slightly cheeky.
The handsome contestant can’t be without his dog for too long, and said he may love his pooch more than Brooke “but only at first”.
Fair enough, we can’t blame him for that one. But whether Matt will be able to sweep Brooke off her feet is yet to be seen.
Brooke is the first Indigenous and pansexual Bachelorette the franchise has ever seen, and in a move that has never been done before, the contestants on this year’s season are a mix of men and women.
From a former contestant on The Bachelor to a carpenter who can build a bench in a few minutes, the latest season of the show is definitely going to be an interesting one.
The Bachelorette Australia airs at 7.30pm every Wednesday and Thursday on Channel 10 and 10play.
