For the first time in “Bachelor” history, the franchise is heading to Melbourne. There, three hopeful men — Wesley Senna Cortes, Ben Waddell, and Luke Bateman — will dive headfirst into the search for true love.
We’ve been introduced to the 24 Bachelorettes, each poised and ready to capture not just attention but the hearts of our trio of Bachelors.
It’s all about love, laughter, and, let’s be real, probably a few nerves and surprises along the way. These gals are gearing up to sweep these gents off their feet, and it’s going to be one heck of a ride. So, get comfy and get ready to meet these ladies.
Meet “The Bachelors” Cast
Aarthi, 29, NSW
Aarthi is a courageous 29-year-old from Sydney who isn’t afraid to show off her true self, and now, she’s ready to step into the limelight on “The Bachelors”. She loves a good adventure, getting creative and having a laugh, and proudly embraces the intersection between her Sri Lankan heritage and her Australian upbringing.
Previously, Aarthi was in a corporate profession but recently decided to take a step back and move into health project management. Now, she’s on a journey to finding her own spark, and she doesn’t want to live for the expectations of her parents. The new Aarthi is a courageous gal who’s in it for personal happiness.
“I have been lucky to be in love twice before, both with my best friends,” Aarthi says in a press statement.
She’s ready to give her “Bachelor” a taste of the love she gives to her “most cherished best friends”. Still, in a post to her Instagram page, she did admit that she could be in her over her head when she steps into the mansion. Will she captivate Luke, Wesley or Ben with her vivacious spirit?
Amelia, 25, NSW
Amelia is looking to fall in love for the very first time on this season of “The Bachelors”.
The 25-year-old nursing student was raised by parents who work in the medical field, so following their career trajectory was a no brainer. She’s a family-oriented soul and places “unwavering trust” in her family and friend group. They support her love for fitness and taste for adventure, and understand that Amelia is a person whose emotions guide her decisions above all else.
Now that Amelia is in her mid-20s, she’s keen to settle down with someone for life. While she doesn’t believe in soulmates, she does subscribe to the idea that there are people who you can share a deeper connection with than others.
Is love waiting for her inside “The Bachelors” mansion?
Anastasia, 32, VIC
Call it high standards, but Anastasia won’t settle for less than a partner who loves the real her. She’s already called off two prior engagements — will her stint on “The Bachelors” prove that a third time’s the charm?
Regardless, no one can compete with the love that this self made entrepreneur has for her daughter, Olympia.
When asked why she’s still single, Anastasia notes that she “just didn’t feel the need to have a man around”, because she wanted to focus on her child and work. The 32-year-old from Victoria isn’t interested in entertaining anyone who’s dramatic, gaslights, lies, can’t keep up with hygiene or needs a woman to validate their insecurities.
Anastasia is bringing her strong confidence and nurturing energy to “The Bachelors” cast. We’re curious to find out which eligible gentleman will catch her attention.
Angela, 36 VIC
Angela is 36, thriving, and now, she’s ready to join 23 other lovely ladies on the quest for true love on “The Bachelors”.
When it comes to relationships, Angela takes inspiration from her parents, who have been married for over 45 years. This determined entrepreneur wants a love that lasts, and knows very well that commitment can endure any hurdle.
The leading men of “The Bachelors” cast — Ben, Wesley and Luke — will have to adapt Angela’s appreciation for old-school traditions, her Italian upbringing, and independent mindset. Her ultimate goal for this experience is to find someone who sparks her interest and leads her toward building a family full of love.
According to Angela, she’s a financially stable and emotionally mature potential partner with a face that looks “10 years younger”. Will one of our Bachelors be the one for her?
Angie, 33, VIC
Angie’s on the look out for a specific person — her celebrity crush, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Although it’s unlikely that she’ll find him in “The Bachelors” mansion, she’ll settle for someone who loves to travel and possesses Rock-like vibes. At 33-year-old, the makeup artist from Victoria is ready to find her person — as long as they’re not dishonest, a cheater, or emotionally stunted.
She comes from a passionate, loud and chaotic family of Greek heritage. They have plenty of expectations for her, but she’s determined to follow her heart. Still, her upbringing as a first-generation Aussie influences her vibrant personality.
Her belief in love at first sight doesn’t come from romantic experiences. Rather, it’s something she felt when she saw her niece and nephew for the first time. Angie recalls the feeling as intense and the connection instant.
If Ben, Wesley and Luke like theatre, films and learning as much as this “Bachelors” castmate, we’re sure to see sparks fly.
Brea, 25, QLD
After spending time soaking up the great outdoors in her caravan, 25-year-old Brea wants to take the next step and embark on a journey to love. The Queenslander joins the 23 other women hoping to steal the hearts of 2023’s Bachelors. With her affinity for adventure, surfing, diving, fishing, boating, camping and mad guitar skills, Brea’s bringing a lot to the competition.
If Brea had to compare her love life to a romantic comedy, she says that it would be “The Wedding Date”, with Dermot Mulroney and Debra Messing. Why?
“I’m such a people pleaser,” she explains in a press statement. “Always saying sorry, always putting others ahead of myself, worried about how people perceive me, chasing a guy that isn’t worth my time.
“When I just let my hair down and enjoy myself, I attract quality men and I need to remind myself of this more,” Brea adds.
At heart, she’s a down to earth country girl who’s uncertain if she’s ever been in love. Perhaps things will change when she meets Ben, Wesley and Luke?
Caitlin, 25, VIC
According to a post on Caitlin’s Instagram page, joining “The Bachelors” cast is her “Bridgerton” moment. She’s a self confessed romantic that grew up watching grand displays of love in films.
Along with her taste for love, Caitlin doesn’t shy away from showing her emotions and needs a relationship where her partner treats her like a queen. The 25-year-old jewellery sales consultant has a tendency to fall hard and fast.
What does she bring to the table? Well, she’s funny, caring and looking to grow with her partner to bring a family to life. Caitlin is a firm believer in love at first sight and is very vocal about people that claim it isn’t a thing.
“If you say you don’t, go watch someone give birth and fall in love with their baby straight away or go look at some puppies and tell me it’s not love at first sight,” she claims.
She’s looking for a Bachelor that sees kids in their future, is kind to others and a strong communicator with a love for wildlife.
Carla, 23, NSW
Carla is a strong-willed and fiercely independent individual who exudes self-assurance, unapologetically speaking her mind without hesitation. Her drive is unmistakable, fearlessly pursuing her desires, even if it means stirring up a bit of controversy.
When it comes to relationships, the 23-year-old breaks away from conventional labels, stating, “I’ve never been in a labelled relationship.” Instead, she navigates what she refers to as “situation-ships”, acknowledging that while none have been successful, no single person holds significant importance in her life.
“I’ve felt some degree of love once before. There was a wave of emotions that made me believe they were the one, but something wasn’t quite right,” she said in a press release.
Chrystal, 25, VIC
This 25-year-old is a ball of energy, crunching numbers by day and owning the roller-skating scene by night. And when it comes to matters of the heart, Chrystal is an open book; finding love is right up there on her to-do list.
Chrystal’s journey is deeply rooted in her traditional Cantonese family, shaped by her father’s firm values, particularly when it comes to dating outside her race.
“Growing up as a Chinese girl in a Western society posed its challenges,” Chrystal said in a press release. “I often found myself navigating conflicting cultural norms, unsure of what was considered right or wrong when, in reality, there was no one-size-fits-all answer.”
Chrystal’s life story unfolds at the intersection of cultures, and she’s all about keeping it real. She’s been a hooked fan of “The Bachelor”, and the idea of diving into a romantic adventure feels like a once-in-a-lifetime shot at finding the right person.
Dana, 25, NSW
Dana charges ahead with determination and audacious dreams. Opting for a distinct route, she bypassed high school to chase her Olympic snowboarding aspirations via homeschooling, putting her unwavering focus on full display.
Her story takes a captivating twist as she joins “The Bachelors Australia” cast. When questioned about this unexpected turn, she admitted: “I’ve moved to a few different countries and have never really felt at home in any of them until I found people who feel like home. I’m looking for someone to feel like home to me.”
Dana’s journey blends her adventurous spirit with a quest for connection, making her a fascinating addition to the tale of love and self-discovery.
Ellie, 29, WA
Described by friends and family as passionate, spontaneous, and loving, Ellie, originally from Western Australia, now calls Byron Bay home. Ellie possesses a unique charm that seems to cast a spell, making men fall head over heels for her. Though, Ellie herself is unsure about the magic behind it.
Approaching the big 3-0, Ellie’s heart is set on starting a family and finding that someone special to embark on life’s adventures with. And it seems like fate had a hand in her journey to “The Bachelors”.
“I’ve been told more than once by family that ‘this was always going to happen to you’,” she said in a press release. “I’ve always been a sucker for ‘The Bachelor’, being a soppy, romantic girl and all.”
In relationships, she’s all about loyalty, emotional maturity, and a clear sense of direction. No wishy-washy for Ellie — she’s ready for a love that knows exactly where it’s going.
Evangeline (Evie), 29, SA
Embracing a diverse heritage that weaves together Portuguese, Chinese, German, and English roots, Evie celebrates her multicultural background. Beyond her charismatic social side, at heart, she’s a bit of a tomboy, finding joy in the thrill of sports rather than idle gossip.
Following the emotional turbulence of her last relationship, Evie’s biggest fear is the prospect of ending up alone.
“I do not necessarily believe in love at first sight but definitely a spark at first sight,” Evie shared. “Which I refer to as that initial feeling when you meet somebody and connect immediately, and even a cheeky smile is exchanged. My experience of love is that it takes time and nurturing to develop and grow.”
Holly, 27, NSW
Holly is a vibrant ball of energy who’s passionate about environmental conservation. She’s in the business of categorising animals by their status, from endangered to extinct.
Holly, the oldest of eight from an active family, traces inspiration from her dad — a two-time Olympic gold medallist turned successful entrepreneur. Describing herself as someone who “can’t reach the top shelf”, Holly brings her humour to the Bachelor mansion.
In love, Holly leans towards friendships over traditional dates. She’s into men with passion and values security, steering clear of constant reassurance-seekers.
Jade, 27, QLD
Jade — an interior designer driven by passion and curiosity — approaches each day with a zest for life, and is constantly seeking chaos and richness. From jet-setting adventures to pushing her boundaries, she’s always up for trying something new.
Having crafted a secure and confident life on her own, she possesses a hunger for both life and love in abundance. In her relationships, Jade brings forth empathy and enthusiasm. She’s the kind of gal who naturally becomes a cheerleader for her loved ones.
“I find excitement in life, and I envision my next relationship to be brimming with passion, laughter, and adventures,” she said before heading into the mansion.
Kristen, 32, QLD
Kristen stands as one of Australia’s leading female tattoo artists, conquering the summit of her profession in a predominantly male industry. A firm believer in the power of laughter, she maintains a lighthearted approach to life, even amid challenges. When she’s not at the tattoo studio, Kristen treasures her role as a mother to two little boys, spending weekends engaging in adventurous activities such as surfing, skating, and hiking with them.
“My proudest achievement to date? Well, I’m not sure if it’s an achievement but more so two beautiful blessings,” Kristen said. “My children are what I am most proud of. They have taught me true, unconditional love. I was also just crowned the best tattoo artist on the Coast which has been pretty gosh-darn exhilarating.”
Lana, 36, NSW
Lana is a vibrant 36-year-old fuelled by an insatiable love for cooking, health, and all things culinary. Her social, kind and confident nature ensures that laughter is a constant companion in her life. Lana is on a relentless quest to keep life exciting. As for her fears? Well, she doesn’t want to be single at 60, without a partner to share her adventures with.
Born and raised in Sydney with a Chinese/Russian background, Lana shares her family dynamic. She has one sister, a year younger, and a super mum who has been their rock since Lana’s father passed away.
“My dad passed away when I was 18 and it’s been the three of us ever since. We were very fortunate that my father worked hard to provide for us,” she said.
Lisa, 23, NSW
Meet Globetrotter Lisa, who was born in Germany, lived in Russia, swung by England, and now calls Australia home sweet home. Her love for travel is no joke, and she’s on the lookout for a partner with that same drive for adventure. Lisa’s got a soft spot for tall, dark, and handsome types, and she’s all about finding her fairytale ending.
Do you know what else she’s into? Keeping fit with gym sessions and walks. Plus, she’s a culinary explorer, always learning new cooking tricks to whip up some exciting dishes. She’s into scuba diving too. Yep, she’s the full package of wanderlust and zest for life!
Maddison, 24, VIC
So, when Maddison was asked why she jumped on “The Bachelors Australia” train, she straight-up said, “Dating in the real world is tragic”. And let us tell you, Maddison’s not one to settle for anything less than she deserves. She’s the heart and soul of any party, always down for a good time with friends.
Reflecting on her dating experience, Maddison admitted, “Guys my age usually don’t want anything serious. I think in the past I’ve scared people off as I’m very upfront and tend to ask the bigger questions that some people may be uncomfortable answering at this age.”
Her last relationship, her first taste of true love, ended amicably, but left her shaken. Maddison’s a fierce competitor ready to fight for what she wants, as long as the man she’s pursuing has emotional intelligence, good looks, and an alluring scent.
Mckenna, 25, QLD
Meet Mckenna, a confident 25-year-old powerhouse running her own PR Agency, where meaningful conversations take the spotlight. Security and safety top her relationship checklist, as she often contemplates finding a partner for a genuine connection.
“I started off in Tennessee on a military base, then spent five years on another military base in Hawaii before settling down in Australia,” Mckenna said in a press statement. Her recent relationship shed light on the crucial partner traits she values. Not a fan of online dating, she’s banking on “The Bachelors” to give her that perfect “meet cute” story to tell her grandkids one day.
Mel, 35, NT
Mel wears the hat of a dedicated mentor in the Indigenous community, committed to empowering young women. With a heritage weaving Papua New Guinean and Australian roots, she shares a tight bond with her two sisters and mother. The loss of her father at a young age has shaped Mel’s deep appreciation for family connections.
Reflecting on her past, Mel acknowledges a childhood marked by chaos, but she takes pride in the journey that led her to where she is today.
“Now, in all the places there used to be pain and confusion in my body, I have filled with love and lessons. I am grateful for every relationship that has prepared me to arrive at this point,” she shared.
For Mel, finding a partner who can match her energy and contribute to building a beautiful life is the ultimate goal.
Natalie, 27, VIC
Meet Natalie, a true trailblazer whose proudest achievement involves soaring the skies in a plane before even tackling the roads in a car. At the age of 16, she dedicated her school holidays to flying camps with the Air Force Cadets, mastering the art of flight.
But Natalie’s ambitions don’t stop there. A hardworking go-getter, she secured a six-figure income straight out of university, making her mark as a technical analyst in the mines. Beyond the boardroom, Natalie’s passion lies in travel, evidenced by her TikTok travel account, which boasts an impressive 250,000 followers.
Nella, 33, NSW
Nella’s cultural tapestry is weaved from various backgrounds, but her heart finds a strong connection to her Samoan and Fijian roots. A devoted mother to an eight-year-old, family holds a special place in her heart. Nella embarked on her career as a flight attendant at the young age of 21, which has allowed her to explore many diverse corners of the globe. Drawing from her past as a pageant contestant, she exudes class and carries herself with grace.
Nella created history in 2010 when she secured a top 10 spot in the international Miss Intercontinental pageant in the Dominican Republic, representing Samoa. She was the first from the South Pacific nation to achieve this milestone. Adding to her accolades, Nella proudly held the title of Miss World Samoa in 2014.
Tabitha, 27, QLD
Armed with a post-graduate degree in cosmetics and plastic surgery, Tabitha is a formidable force, who juggles her business studies while working as a registered nurse.
Once an open-hearted romantic, she now approaches love with a cautious mindset, seeking a deeper connection in the casual hook-up scene. In Tabitha’s rom-com analogy, her love life resembles “27 Dresses”.
“Everyone else around me seems to be finding the love of their life, getting married, and having children,” she admitted. “Yet, no matter how hard I’ve tried to find the one, I’m always the bridesmaid, never the bride. I’m ready to rewrite this story!”
Yasemin, 32, VIC
Yasemin has been a fan of the show since its debut, inspired by the pure and beautiful love stories, especially that of Sam and Snezana. Feeling a magnetic pull to be part of the show, she thought, “Why not give it a go? I’m ready for love, just waiting to meet the one for me.”
Her heartfelt quest is to settle down, start a family, and find a profoundly emotional connection. Yasemin’s heart beats to the rhythm of traditional values. She’s firmly against casual flings, but seeks a deeper and more meaningful connection in her journey to love.
