It’s happening. The Block: Tree Change is premiering soon, and we’re already counting down!
The renovation competition will return to Channel 9 on Sunday, August 7, and it’s time to get to know the contestants.
This year, the crew will be heading to Gisborne, Victoria, to renovate five family homes.
Not to mention, for the first time, host Scott Cam will be renovating a property in what will be the “biggest season of The Block ever.”
Contestants will compete for $100,000 and, of course, the massive auction payday.
The season has yet to kick off, but it’s already been embroiled in drama.
Power couple Elle Ferguson and Joel Patfull were blasted by Scott after they left the show 48 hours in.
According to Domain, they’ve been replaced by another couple who are yet to be revealed.
Returning to judge the renos are long-time Block judges Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer.
Foreman Keith Schlepper and foreman Dan Reilly will also be making regular appearances.
It’s not easy to tackle a renovation project of this scale in just 12 weeks, especially when you have wild weather, COVID-19 and a tradie shortage thrown into the mix.
“It’s been an epic battle to get to where we are now, but a hugely rewarding one,” producer Julian Cress told Domain.
“The quality of the rooms that have been presented by the contestants, under really difficult circumstances, has been astonishing.”
Without further ado, here’s who will compete on this year’s season of The Block: Tree Change.
