The Real Love Boat: Paddy Is Ready to Be One Lucky Girl’s Personal Chef

If you love love, if you love dating shows on boats, if you love sexy singles and glam European destinations, then buckle up babes!

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and we’re not mad about it.

The Real Love Boat — inspired by the 1976 sitcom — takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see 20 Australian singles travel the seas, looking for love.

Destination dates and surprise singles will test the couples’ compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, The Love Boat, the indispensable crew members will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead.

Hosted by Darren McMullen, with Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier, Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo
Arrigo, our eligible Aussies will be guided through the murky waters of love as they explore Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro.

NTB, right?

One of the babes embarking on this cruise for love is 27-year-old Paddy Hughes, a chef from New South Wales.

Paddy is originally from Bondi Beach and is truly ready to cook up some love. He is creative, enthusiastic, and says he can offer emotional maturity and communication in a relationship.

“I’ve been in love before,” he says in a press statement, “and it’s the most incredible and powerful feeling.”

Paddy is passionate about finding balance in life. He can take care of himself, but also understands his potential partner’s needs and desires. He says he comes with a positive, uplifting, motivating and supportive mind-state — plus, who doesn’t want their own personal chef?!

Paddy also dabbles in song writing, singing and modelling.

What can’t he do, you ask?

Well, he says that he struggles to communicate well electronically and may unintentionally seem dismissive or distant. Perhaps him and his potential lover can exchange letters?

“Humour is essential. I’m looking for someone who is driven but can be silly and not take life too seriously all the time,” he says.

“I am also attracted to someone who is affectionate, spontaneous, adventurous and effortlessly kind.”

The Real Love Boat airs weekly at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play. Miss an episode? Catch up on 10 Play on Demand.
