Are you ready for an adventure? “The Summit” is just around the corner and we are counting down the days until this competition unfolds. Hosted by Aussie movie star Jai Courtney, this exciting new show follows 14 strangers from all walks of life. They will attempt to climb one of New Zealand’s highest peaks to win a share of one million dollars.

Of course, climbing a mountain isn’t an easy feat. The contestants will have to push themselves to their limits to make it to the summit within 14 days. Along the way, they’ll face challenges that will test their physical and mental endurance, from jaw-dropping gorges to raging waterfalls.

In a race against time, not everyone will make it to the finish line, and it’s up to them to decide who to cut off as they race toward the Summit. With strategic gameplay and teamwork being crucial to success, the show promises to be an exhilarating adventure that viewers won’t want to miss.

So, without further ado, let’s meet some of the contestants who will be taking on this epic challenge.

Catherine Takes on “The Summit” 2023

Catherine, known as Kitty, is the oldest competitor making her way up the mountain, but that doesn’t intimidate her. Being a registered nurse in a remote town in the Northern Territory has allowed Kitty to step out of her comfort zone on numerous occasions. She works with young mothers and their newborn babies, an experience that she finds incredibly rewarding. “I went there for six weeks and ended up staying,” she says.

As a mother of two girls herself, Kitty’s daughters are more nervous about her taking on this adventure than she is. “One of them is not sure she’s ready to see me on national TV, and the other one just keeps sending me messages saying ‘OMFG’,” she says with a chuckle. However, Kitty is not worried, and is ready to take on any challenges that come her way.

Aside from being a registered nurse, Kitty is also an artist and hopes to win some money to set up her studio. She also aims to inspire the young women she works with by taking on this challenge and showing them that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.

“The Summit” premieres on Sunday, May 14th, at 7.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
