Tom Cruise Is Reportedly “Extremely Interested in Pursuing” Shakira After They Were Spotted in Miami

” data-ga-action=”body text link”>announced her split from Gerard Piqué, and she may have found a potential new man – at least according to rumors that emerged after she was seen out with Tom Cruise. The pair were photographed at the Miami Grand Prix starting grid on May 7 and reportedly spotted leaving to hang out in a private suite, according to Page Six. “He is extremely interested in pursuing her,” a source told the outlet. “There is chemistry.” Reps for Cruise and Shakira did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s requests for comment.

The public appearance comes one day after Shakira took home the Woman of the Year award at Billboard’s first Latin Women in Music gala. “This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I’ve felt more than ever – and very personally – what it is to be a woman,” she said in her acceptance speech, per People, seemingly reflecting on her post-breakup personal growth.

“It’s been a year where I’ve realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be,” she continued. “Because what woman hasn’t, at some time in her life, forgotten herself because she’s seeking the attention and love of someone else? . . . But there comes a time in the life of every woman where she no longer depends on someone else to love and accept herself just as she is. A time when the search for someone else is replaced by the search for oneself. A time when the desire to be perfect is replaced by the desire to be authentic, and where finding someone who is faithful is less important than being faithful to ourselves.”

Shakira and Piqué issued a joint statement announcing their separation in June 2022 after 11 years of being together. Since then, the singer reportedly revealed that she discovered Piqué was cheating on her after noticing that a jam jar in their home was empty after a time away – despite no one in their family other than Shakira herself liking jam. She also referenced Piqué’s new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, in her viral breakup song “BZRP Music Session #53.”

Meanwhile, Cruise, who is still an active member of the Church of Scientology, was married to Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012. Before that, he and Nicole Kidman were married from 1990 to 2001. He was also married to Mimi Rogers, his first wife, whom he tied the knot with in 1987 and divorced three years later. In between, the “Top Gun: Maverick” star has been linked to plenty of other stars, though time will tell if whatever’s going on between him and Shakira ever moves out of the realm of “rumored” territory.
