Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner Support Tristan Thompson After His Mother’s Death
The Kardashian-Jenner family are supporting Tristan Thompson as he grieves the sudden passing of his mother. On Thursday, Andrea Thompson died suddenly at home in Toronto after suffering a heart attack, as confirmed by multiple outlets. Her NBA player son left Los Angeles to be with his family during this difficult time – and his ex Khloé Kardashian is reportedly by his side.
As reported by E! News, a source said Kardashian is joining Tristan to “comfort and help him navigate what will be a very difficult time.” While the exes have had their ups and downs in the past, they co-parent 4-year-old True and their 5-month-old son together. Kardashian was also close to Andrea.
“She was incredibly close to his mother, and like Khloé and the Kardashian family always do, they will come together and support their loved ones in their most difficult time of need,” the source continued. “Tristan is the father of Khloé’s kids and she and her entire family will always be there for him.”
Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, confirmed her family will be there for Tristan in a Jan. 6 Instagram tribute to Andrea. Jenner shared a collection of photos featuring Tristan’s mom at a variety of family events alongside a caption praising her dedication to her family.
“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea. My thoughts, prayers and all of my love are with Tristan, Amari, Dishawn and Daniel,” Jenner wrote. “You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!! I will miss you Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel.”
Over the years, Tristan has been open about the sacrifices his mother made to ensure his dream of playing professional basketball came true. On Mother’s Day in 2020, the NBA player shared a video of his mom on Instagram alongside a caption thanking her for always being by his side. “Happy Mother’s Day Mommy!” he wrote. “One day isn’t enough to praise and lift you high. Everyday is your day. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and my brothers. I love you and I’m soo lucky to have been chosen as your son❤️. Not all superheroes wear capes.”
