We’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic for the campy goodness that is Twilight. After all, it’s been a bit since the first film of the franchise landed in theaters. The gothic vampire romance was one of the biggest pop culture touchstones of the mid-to-late 2000s and is still drawing people in today thanks to the recent release of Midnight Sun. Between the alt-pop soundtrack and the “shipper” wars (everyone had to be either Team Edward or Team Jacob, there was no in between), the Twilight era was definitely memorable for a lot of reasons.
While the Twilight Saga movies were in full swing, the actors in the series were some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Although some have had quieter lives and careers since the series ended in 2012, others have stayed in the spotlight or even broken into the A-list. If you’ve been wondering what the cast have been up to, wonder no more! We’ve got the scoop – just scroll through our gallery ahead.

Kristen Stewart Now
Since wrapping Twilight, Kristen Stewart has returned to her indie roots, starring in a series of independent dramas. She received critical acclaim for her role in 2015’s Clouds of Sils Maria and won the César Award for best supporting actress. In 2017, she made her directorial debut with the short Come Swim, and she just starred in the latest Charlie’s Angels movie. Her personal life has been in the spotlight since she dated her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson during the film series. She is currently dating screenwriter Dylan Meyer.
Robert Pattinson Now
Famously wry about his broody role in Twilight, Robert Pattinson has moved into wide-ranging roles in quirky films in the years since. Some of his most praised performances include The Rover, The Childhood of a Leader, and Good Time. Pattinson is part of a rare club of actors with roles in multiple iconic franchises (he also played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), but he has mostly eschewed large studio movies in favor of indie roles like his 2019 release The Lighthouse. However, he is set to play Batman in Matt Reeves’s upcoming adaptation.
Taylor Lautner Now
As the buff werewolf Jacob, Taylor Lautner won tons of hearts in the Twilight years. During that era, he seemed like a candidate for Hollywood’s next leading man, with roles in films such as Valentine’s Day and Abduction. After Twilight, however, he appeared on screen less; his most recent roles were in 2016 on Ryan Murphy’s TV series Scream Queens and in 2018 in Cuckoo.
Billy Burke Now
Let’s be honest, we were all a little bit Charlie when it came to Twilight: love the characters, but had to eye-roll at the sheer ridiculousness of it all. Billy Burke continued that sardonic, lovable-grump persona into his post-Twilight TV roles, notably as the lead of NBC’s sci-fi series Revolution and on CBS’s Zoo, both of which lasted two seasons. He recently starred on Quibi’s Most Dangerous Game with Liam Hemsworth.
Anna Kendrick Now
Her role as human high school student Jessica might have been small, but it was one of the scene-stealing performances in Twilight. Anna Kendrick has gone on to the most high-profile career out of the entire cast, with an Oscar nomination (for 2009’s Up in the Air) and several blockbuster films. Her real breakout came with 2012’s instant-classic comedy Pitch Perfect and its sequels; she showed off her musical chops again in 2014’s Into the Woods. More recently, she starred on HBO Max’s series Love Life, which has already been renewed for a second season.
Cam Gigandet Now
Cam Gigandet‘s ponytailed bad-boy James was the vampire villain of our nightmares: just charming and normal until he wasn’t. Post-Twilight, Gigandet continued on the teen movie circuit, notably in the Emma Stone comedy Easy A. Although his acting career has slowed, he’s had other things to focus on: he and his longtime partner, Dominique Geisendorff, have three kids together.
Peter Facinelli Now
Peter Facinelli was already an established actor when he took on the role of the kindhearted Cullen patriarch. Since wrapping the series, his most notable roles have been on television. He costarred on the dark comedy Nurse Jackie for seven years, then returned to the sci-fi/fantasy realm as amoral tech titan Maxwell Lord on the first season of Supergirl. He most recently appeared in the Netflix movie The F**k-It List.
Rachelle Lefevre Now
Rachelle Lefevre’s run in the Twilight series was shorter than expected. She played Victoria for the first two films, but when the third film, Eclipse, rolled around, she was unexpectedly replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard. Following her departure, Lefevre shifted into television. Among her notable roles are the CBS shows A Gifted Man and Under the Dome. Most recently, she starred on Mary Kills People and Proven Innocent.
Nikki Reed Now
Twilight wasn’t the first time Nikki Reed had worked with director Catherine Hardwicke: in 2003, she starred in Hardwicke’s drama Thirteen when she was only 15. Since Twilight wrapped, Reed has starred in smaller-budget films such as Empire State and About Scout. She has also put her focus on doing charity work for animal welfare and in 2014, she was honored with the ASPCA Compassion Award for her contributions. In 2017, she launched her lifestyle company Bayou for Love, which focuses on creating sustainable jewelry and apparel. On top of all of that, Reed has since started a family. In 2015, she married The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder and they welcomed their daughter in 2017. Most recently, Reed and Somerhalder shared the screen on Netflix’s V-Wars.
Jackson Rathbone Now
Jackson Rathbone is one of the quieter members of the Twilight cast. He’s popped up in smaller-scale films such as Live at the Foxes Den and Pali Road but no major releases. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy: he has his own production company and record company, plus a “role” as husband and father. He and his wife, Sheila, have three children.
Edi Gathegi Now
Although Edi Gathegi’s Laurent wasn’t top-billed, Gathegi has had a steady career in Hollywood ever since. Superhero fans will recognize him as Darwin from X-Men: First Class, and he racked up a pretty respectable number of guest credits on TV shows such as Nikita and Beauty and the Beast. In 2015, he joined NBC’s The Blacklist, and when the show spun off The Blacklist: Redemption in 2017, he crossed over to the new series as well.
Ashley Greene Now
For the most part, Ashley Greene hasn’t taken on major acting roles since Twilight finished up. Instead, she’s appeared in smaller films and has taken on a public role for causes such as animal welfare. She did hit a big life milestone since wrapping the series: in 2016, she married Aussie TV host Paul Khoury.
Kellan Lutz Now
Unlike many of his former costars, Kellan Lutz kept up with big-budget epic films after Twilight. He starred in 2011’s Immortals and 2014’s The Legend of Hercules, although neither hit the level of success that had been hoped for. Lutz also took a detour into modeling, signing with Ford Models and participating in a Calvin Klein ad campaign. His charity work focuses on animal welfare and child victims of sex trafficking. For the most part, he’s kept his personal life out of the spotlight, but he did announce in 2017 that he had married model and TV host Brittany Gonzales.
Elizabeth Reaser Now
By the time she was cast as matriarch Esme Cullen, Elizabeth Reaser was already recognizable to TV fans as Grey’s Anatomy‘s amnesiac Ava. For the most part, her roles since then have returned her to the small screen. She had a repeating guest role on CBS’s The Good Wife, and she appeared on the buzzy series True Detective in 2014. In 2018, she starred in the Netflix horror series The Haunting of Hill House as the adult version of Shirley Crain. Most recently, she appeared on The Handmaid’s Tale as Olivia.
