Lady Gaga is joining the cast of Wednesday season 2. After her 2011 hit “Bloody Mary” went viral when Wednesday fans paired it with Jenna Ortega’s viral dance moves, sources have confirmed that Gaga will appear in the new season. Though details about her role remain a mystery, sources reveal she’s currently filming in Europe.
At this point, it’s still unclear how big her part will be, but fans can rest assured that she’ll be part of the upcoming season, which is already generating plenty of buzz.

Gaga’s casting news comes as Wednesday continues its massive success, with Ortega leading the Addams Family-inspired series as the quirky and psychic-minded teen. Joining her are familiar faces like Gwendoline Christie, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Christina Ricci, with season 2 already in the works.

At the Golden Globes in January 2023, Ortega shared her hopes for a Gaga appearance, revealing she had even brainstormed a potential storyline. “I’m sure Netflix would love that,” Ortega said to Variety. “I think Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way, so, if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think it would have to be two monsters that understand each other.”
In addition to her acclaimed film roles in A Star Is Born, House of Gucci, and Joker: Folie à Deux, Gaga’s television credits include a Golden Globe-winning performance on American Horror Story season 5.
Meanwhile, the pop icon is hard at work on her seventh solo album, slated for release in February 2025. Her recent single, “Disease”, dropped in October, followed by the “Antidote” live edition and an instrumental version. Gaga is also celebrating two Grammy nominations for her collaboration with Bruno Mars on “Die With a Smile”.
