First Dates Australia is back, and this time, the show is being filmed at a beautiful new location. The dating series which used to air on Channel 7 is being rebooted by Network Ten, and we can’t wait to tune in.
Thankfully, we won’t have to. The show, which follows a new group of singles each episode, will premiere tonight (Feb 24). Similar to Married At First Sight, experts match two people together, and viewers watch their date play out on screen.
While there’s a lot less drama than MAFS, the dates can sometimes take an unexpected turn. With two people trying to flirt and build a connection with one another, it either goes according to plan, or terribly wrong.
At the end of their date, the two hopefuls review the experience on camera and reveal whether or not they’d like to see each other again.
This year, the rebooted series takes place at a new venue, located in an inner-Sydney laneway. The restaurant, which has a rustic vibe, comes complete with a bar and a breakout area.
Previously, contestants needed to leave via the bathroom if they wanted to call a friend and discuss their date, but now, the new crew will be able to take a break around the firepit.
