Step Inside the Estate Where the MAFS Couples Are Staying During Retreat Week
Amongst the drama, fighting, tears and storm-offs during the “Married at First Sight” Retreat Week, lies a spectacular estate where the show is filmed.
With the most spectacular outlook, Kalinya Estate in the Southern Highlands is not only breathtaking — but award-winning. It’s no wonder our “MAFS” couples are so excited!
According to their official website, the five-star private venue is nestled at the gateway to the Southern Highlands of New South Wales and is host to private functions including weddings.
The private property is owned and operated by locals Chris and Mandy Barnes, who are “deeply passionate” and go “above and beyond”, welcoming guests into their magnificent home.
The estate boasts a diverse selection of hosting spaces that uses environmentally-conscious products.
If you’re thinking about staying here yourself, there are “three superbly appointed historic homes, thoughtfully restored to their former glory.” These include the Homestead, the art Barn and The Lodge.
Of course, you can also get married at the property, and to be honest, with the grounds being so spectacular, we’re thinking about booking it ourselves.

“Married At First Sight” airs Sunday at 7.00pm and Monday — Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
