Big Brother Royalty vs New Contenders is set to start any day now (May 9 to be precise) and we’re giving you the opportunity to look inside the Big Brother house. While the identity of Big Brother himself is a bigger secret than what goes on inside Area 51, the property where the contestants reside surprisingly isn’t kept so under wraps.
Last year, the show was filmed in Sydney Harbour’s North Head near Manly. This time, however, the housemates will be heading to the White Pavilion at Sydney Olympic Park. New Idea published photos from inside the property, and to put it simply, it’s impressive.

When the housemates first enter through the eye-shaped hole in the wall, they’re greeted with a stunning pool, garden area and a treehouse for “private conversations” (which is bugged with listening devices).

There’s also a battleground where housemates go head-to-head during nomination challenges.

When the contestants make their way inside, they will find themselves in the open plan living area. On the right, there is a large dining table that can seat 18 people, and comes complete with velvet seats and floral centrepieces.

On the opposite side, there’s a lounge area, with two large couches and an enormous television that Big Brother uses to communicate with the housemates.

The Kitchen
Next is the kitchen area, which looks as funky as the rest of the house. The island is illuminated with purple eyes and the green-tiled backdrop compliments the retro vibe.

VIP Mezzanine
Above the kitchen is the VIP Mezzanine, which is a luxury suite located upstairs. Only a small number of housemates are given the privilege by Big Brother to walk up the red stairs.

The Bathroom
Further into the house is the bathroom, which has individual sinks and showers, and plenty of mirrors that of course, are in clear view of the camera.

Bedrooms
Next up are the two bedrooms, which have multiple single beds and colourful sheets. The spacious area is illuminated by different coloured LED lights.
Behind the bedrooms are the housemates’ closets and washing machines — yes, they’re required to do household chores.

The Diary Room
The most recognisable room of them all is the diary room. The background features multi-coloured lights and a silver and red chair in the very centre. This is where contestants are given tasks by the man himself and spill some serious tea.

Secret Rooms
Finally, we have the mainframe, which is known as the nerve centre of the house. From here, the housemates have nowhere to hide, as their every move is monitored. Whoever enters the room is given all the power and can not only control the housemates, but also the house itself.
