The Good Place Cast Has Some Forking Terrific Roles Lined Up After the Show Ends
We’re really forking unhappy that The Good Place has ended after its fourth season, and we know we aren’t the only ones. The NBC comedy, which first aired back in September 2016, is one of the weirdest and most hilarious series out there, and we’re going to miss our favourite members of the afterlife now that the series has wrapped. But even though the end of The Good Place feels like the Bad Place, we don’t have to say goodbye to Eleanor and the gang for good. Here’s where you can expect to see the cast of The Good Place next.

Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell, who stars on The Good Place as loveably crass Eleanor Shellstrop, is set to costar alongside SNL alum Leslie Jones in Queenpins, a comedy based on the real-life story of two Phoenix housewives who team up to run a $40 million coupon scam. No announcements have been made yet about when we may expect to see this one.
Other projects coming up for Bell include Do, Re & Mi, an animated musical series for preschoolers from Amazon Studios, and Central Park, another animated musical series that revolves around the people who live and work in the famous NYC park. There’s no word yet on whether Veronica Mars has been renewed by Hulu for a fifth season, but we can still dream!
Ted Danson
The legendary Ted Danson, who costars as failed afterlife architect Michael, is currently working on a yet-untitled NBC comedy series with Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, where he’ll star as a wealthy businessman who becomes the mayor of LA. Little is known about the series at this point, but considering that Fey and Carlock are the brains behind 30 Rock, we expect great things.
Jameela Jamil
You can see Jameela Jamil (also known as the fabulous Tahani Al-Jamil) on TBS, where she’s hosting The Misery Index, a series based on the card game “Sh*t Happens.” On the series, two competing teams rank humiliating life events on a scale from one to 100, with non-celebrity contestants working alongside members of The Tenderloins comedy troupe.
Jamil will also lend her voice to the forthcoming Disney Junior animated mystery series for preschoolers called Mira, Royal Detective, where she will play the recurring character of Auntie Pushpa. You can expect the series to premiere sometime in 2020.
William Jackson Harper
William Jackson Harper, who plays indecisive ethics and moral philosophy professor Chidi Anagonye, has a recurring role on Amazon’s The Underground Railroad, a series adapted from Colson Whitehead’s bestselling novel of the same name. Harper is set to play Royal, a freeborn black man who encounters a young slave named Cora on her path to escape. There’s no word yet on when we may expect to see this one hit the small screen.
Manny Jacinto
Though it’s not supposed to hit theaters until June 26, 2020, you can expect to see Manny Jacinto (who plays clueless amateur DJ Jason Mendoza on The Good Place) in Top Gun: Maverick, which is a sequel to the 1986 original. In the action drama, Jacinto will play Fritz, a trainee working under now-flight instructor Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a role reprised by Tom Cruise.
D'Arcy Carden
D’Arcy Carden, who plays unfailingly polite robot guide Janet, will appear in Amazon’s TV remake of A League of Their Own. We don’t have any details about her character or a premiere date for the show, but we can’t wait.
