Award season for movies and television is officially over. While we love seeing Hollywood’s finest walk the red carpet, we’re itching to see the music industry get their time to shine.
We’ve already watched the Grammys, and now, we’re getting ready for the Billboard Music Awards. This year, the event will be hosted by the one and only Diddy and will see performances from Mary J. Blige, Ed Sheeran and Machine Gun Kelly, to name a few.
The award ceremony will be broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will honour the year’s top artists on the Billboard charts in 62 categories.
The Weeknd is the most nominated artist of the night, with 17 nods, including one for Top Artist. Following closely behind is Doja Cat with 14 nominations and Justin Bieber with 13.
Mary J. Blige will also be one to watch, as she’s set to receive the Icon Award on the night.
“To be recognised in this way at this moment, with the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards, is an incredible honour and one that I am truly humbled by,” Blige said.
So, Where Can You Watch the Billboard Music Awards if You’re in Australia?
The Billboard Music Awards will take place on Monday, May 16 at 10am AEST. Sadly, it will not be available to watch on free-to-air TV. Instead, you’ll need to use a VPN to gain access.
The show is set to air on NBC and Peacock in the US, which means you may need a registered American credit card or access to American cable, even if you are using a VPN.
However, you can keep up with all of the action as it happens here, on POPSUGAR Australia. Everything you need to know, from the red carpet to the show itself, will be right here.
