Lizzo’s documentary, Love, Lizzo, is headed down under, and it’s about damn time!
Premiering on November 25 on BINGE, the film will follow three-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Lizzo and walk viewers through the journey of her rise to fame.
The documentary will serve as a behind-the-scenes look into the superstar’s life as she candidly talks about her humble beginnings and the hard work she put in to get to where she is now.
Lizzo has not only inspired change within the music industry, but she’s also caused a cultural shift. Just by being herself, she’s inspired so many people, and this is just the beginning.
Filmed in partnership with HBO Max, Lizzo served as executive producer and worked with Emmy-Award-winning filmmaker Doug Pray to bring this project to life.
“Growing up I never dreamed I’d get to experience all of the things I’ve accomplished in my life, and I’m just getting started. I’m so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max,” she said in a statement.
“From Cuz I Love You to my dramatic world tour, losing and gaining love, and creating my new album Special, y’all get to see the amount of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears that went into this process.
“It takes 10 years to become an ‘overnight success,’ and hopefully, I can inspire other young creatives to keep going.”
The artist joins a long list of celebrities who have released their own documentaries, including Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Kanye West.
