After much anticipation, the historical season of The Bachelorette starring Brooke Blurton is finally set to air in a few weeks. To help curb our impatience, Channel 10 has been releasing small snippets of the show, so we kind of know what to expect.
We already know the show will feature plenty of red roses and extravagant dates, but what makes this season so different is that Brooke is the first Indigenous and bisexual Bachelorette in the history of the show. And yes, the contestants vying for her love will be a mix of men and women.
But this isn’t the 26-year-old’s first rodeo, as many would remember her from Honey Badger’s season of The Bachelor and then Bachelor In Paradise. She fast became a fan favourite, so it’s no surprise she’s leading the show this year.
But after watching the trailer, it seems plenty of drama will ensue, with one contestant alluding to having hooked up with another person in the mansion. I mean, is it even The Bachelorette if it isn’t slightly messy?
“I knew coming into this experience that there might be a possibility that guys and girls might have an attraction with one another,” Brooke says in the trailer, before showing two people holding hands.
One of the men from the mansion also goes ahead and says, “There’s one guy in here who deviated away from wanting to get to know Brooke.”
While we haven’t been officially introduced to the contestants just yet, we’re sure we’ll get to know them closer to the date.
So where can you watch the show?
The Bachelorette is set to premiere on October 20, on Channel 10, but if you don’t have access to a TV then you can catch it live on 10play, or after the show finishes airing.
