The “Australian Idol” 2023 live rounds have been a whirlwind of emotions to say the least. We’ve already seen some contestants soar while other have been sent home packing. As is customary with this point of the competition, the fates of these talented 15-to-28-year-olds now in the hands of the Australian public. The pressure is on to deliver performances that will capture hearts and votes alike.
Already, this season of “Idol” has had its share of ups and downs, from the nail-biting auditions to the announcement of the Top 12. Our celebrity judges — Harry Connick Jnr, Meghan Trainor, Amy Shark and, Kyle Sandilands — have not shied away from delivering candid and, at times, harsh feedback. For the young performers, the stakes are high as they battle nerves and strive to master their music and lyrics. But the support of fans across the nation is giving them the confidence to shine on stage.
In the weeks to come we’re keen to see more phenomenal performances like Phoebe Stewart‘s rendition of Adele’s The One and Only from her audition. Or fingers crossed more Bruno Mars’ vibes from Royston Sagigi-Baira. However, it is also worth noting that we will most definitely see more contestants departing the “Idol” stage over the next few weeks.
But in the spirit of positivity — here’s everyone who the judges saved so far and the songs they sung to secure their spots;
