It’s been an absolutely chaotic season of Celebrity Apprentice this year, from David “The Golden God” Genat getting up to his usual shenanigans, to The Veronicas slamming the show multiple times for their shady edit, but we finally have a winner!
Last night, Shaynna Blaze took out the title of Celebrity Apprentice 2021, after defeating runner-up Ross Noble.
She raised a whopping $470,000 for her charity, Voice of Change–a record-breaking sum for the show. Voice of Change is a charity that works toward raising awareness and changing cultural attitudes that contribute to family violence.
“I’m so elated to have been able to raise so much money for Voice of Change,” Blaze said after the finale.” The money raised will go such a long way to creating more awareness of the seriousness of family violence, and hopefully, acting as a voice of change.”
“It’s been such a whirlwind experience throughout the series, and Ross was such a deserving, creative finalist. I’m glad we, and all the other Celebrities were able to do so much for our chosen charities.”
Speaking to Fitzy and Wippa on NOVA this morning, Blaze was still in shock over her win.
“I still can’t believe it,” she said.
In fact, Blaze revealed that when she heard about Noble’s finale challenge–in which he staged a bank heist experience for guests, complete with explosions, getaway cars, and more–she “thought [she] was gone”.
“We didn’t know what each other was doing and I remember sitting in the boardroom [as] they were explaining it… my jaw was on the ground thinking ‘I am gone’. I thought I was gone! It sounded like the best thing ever,” she exclaimed.
For her final challenge, Blaze hosted a gala dinner where she auctioned off big ticket items to her high-profile guests, raising a whopping $326,000.
Blaze went on to say how happy she was that Noble–who raised $83,500–was still able to walk away with money for his charity.
“I think that’s where everybody gets to see what a genius he is, what an incredible man,” she told Fitzy and Wippa. “His mind is just unbelievable and what I’m so happy about is that we both walked away with money to because that deserved, it was a winning experience.”
In the end, Noble raised over $100k for the Australian Red Cross disaster recovery and relief fund, which helps out people who are dealing with the long-term after-effects of disasters like bushfires and floods.
