Laverne Cox knows how to turn any street into her very own runway. On Sept. 30, the fabulous Promising Young Woman actress stepped out for the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala in a stunning Christopher John Rogers gown where she struck many a pose before heading in for the event. Her yellow plaid gown featured a zipped-up corset top and a tulle-filled skirt that screamed it’s finally fall. She paired the outfit with Cicada Jewellery. As one of the cochairs for this year’s event, her festive look did not disappoint.
Laverne was styled by Christina Joy Pacelli, who is to thank for many of the actress’s latest looks – including the silver pleated Johanna Johnson dress she wore to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Opening Gala as well as the bright yellow Christina Ottaviano dress for the Metropolitan Opera’s reopening night. But the applause-worthy poses and red carpet confidence is all Laverne. Check out photos of Laverne’s breathtaking plaid CJR gown at the Fall Fashion Gala, and see how she turned the entrance of the David H. Koch theatre into her very own runway ahead.
