Get to Know Mia and Lena Tindall, Soon-to-Be Big Sisters to Baby Tindall Number 3!
Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall are expecting their third child together! Mike, a former England rugby captain, shared the happy news on his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, earlier this week. “It’s been a good week for me. Had a little scan last week, third Tindall on its way,” he said. The couple, who are approaching their tenth wedding anniversary, have been very open about Zara’s pregnancy experiences in the past, including her two miscarriages.
Together, the Tindalls have two daughters, Mia and Lena, and when it comes to guessing the sex of their third child, Mike is crossing his fingers for a boy. “I’ll love it whether a boy or a girl, but please be a boy,” he laughed. Even though we can’t wait to welcome Tindall baby number three, we’re also just as excited for big sisters Mia and Lena. While we keep refreshing for Tindall baby bump pics (don’t mind us), here’s a refresher on everything we know about Queen Elizabeth’s great-grandkids, Mia and Lena.
Mia Grace Tindall
Born on Jan. 17, 2014, Mia Grace Tindall is Zara and Mike’s firstborn child and the fourth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth. She’s also the third grandchild for Princess Anne and was a bridesmaid in Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding. As evident on Mike’s podcast, Mia is more than ready to have another sibling to hang out with, sharing, “I think she’ll be happy about it. She has been requesting another sister or brother, so we’ve hopefully fulfilled that role for her.”
Lena Elizabeth Tindall
Born on June 18, 2018, Lena Elizabeth Tindall is Zara and Mike’s second daughter and is the seventh great-grandchild of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Zara confessed in an interview that she and Mike had originally picked the name Elena for their daughter, but there was just one small problem: “I liked the name Elena but I didn’t want her initials to be ‘E.T.’ so she’s Lena.” On the podcast, Mike said Lena is looking forward to having “someone younger to play and dress up with.” How cute!
