Time to chat about undies. I remember the first time I put on a pair of men’s underwear — I needed a pair of undies to wear home on the tram because I couldn’t find mine in the chaotic mess of ‘the morning after’ — and the guy I’d gone home with gave me a fresh pair of his Calvins.
I was expecting them to be uncomfortable, or at least just feel a bit wrong, given the different style and fit, but that’s not what happened. They were the most comfortable things I’d ever worn under my clothes.
As women, we often feel as though we need to be wearing sexy lingerie, but let’s get real for a sec: lace is uncomfortable. A lace g-string, even more uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing risque lingerie pieces sometimes, they definitely make me feel more sexy, but wearing lace or plastic fabrics daily is not only uncomfortable and unsustainable, it’s also not that great for your vagina.
Things such as dye (in coloured undies), non-breathable materials (such as nylon) and pressure (caused by a g-banger or super tight undies) can all cause irritation, which can make your vagina itchy, swell or it might even incite an unpleasant smell and funky discharge.
If this sounds familiar, don’t worry, it literally happens to all of us. But I would recommend looking into getting yourself a range of comfy, breathable, cotton undies that also make you feel cute because trust me, it’ll be life-changing.
Since that one-night-stand man that was lovely enough to give me a pair of his undies, I’ve been a Calvins girl all the way. They’ve just come out with a new collection called Modern Structure and it’s the absolute bees knees.
Featured in the current campaign, Calvin Klein’s Spring Summer 2021’s new product offerings centre on elevated modern essentials with an emphasis on comfort and minimalism. In Underwear, Calvin Klein’s new Modern Structure delivers a collection of consciously made and streamlined silhouettes.
Not only are these knickers made with recycled materials, making them sustainable and good quality, they also feature the iconic Calvin Klein’s logo waistband, which believe it or not, actually does make you feel like an OG underwear model.
Calvin Klein is also super big on a bralette, which we love. Even for you big booby girls (like me), the Calvin Klein’s lightly lined bralette is perfect for a casual outfit, day at home, underneath activewear or literally if you just CBF wearing a bra and want to feel that ultimate comfort.
Somehow, wearing Calvin Klein’s underwear always still makes me feel sexy. I think it’s a combination of growing up gawking at the CK underwear ads and their really nice designs, that turn a simple knicker into something slightly more edgy, while still remaining comfortable.
Seen on Kaia Gerber in their new campaign, this Modern Structure range by Calvin Klein offers the most comfort and support for all your bits as we head into the warmer months.
