Cardi B is getting her designer flowers. As Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week draws to a close, the rapper was undoubtedly one of the biggest standouts, wearing a series of distinct looks and designers for each and every event. She started the week off strong at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show on July 3, exuding opulence in a black velvet lace-up gown with a true corset-style bodice and larger-than-life feathery coat. Keeping the momentum going, she was once again impossible to miss at the Thom Browne Haute Couture show the same day, with her stylist, Kollin Carter, ingeniously repurposing an oversize men’s blazer to create a custom tweed design exclusively for Cardi. A towering golden headpiece made the outfit that much more memorable.
The world of high-fashion seems to come so naturally to Cardi, but she still took an extra moment to express gratitude for all her designer looks on social media. “I’m a very blessed girl,” she wrote on Instagram alongside photos of her Thom Browne ensemble. “I’m thankful everyday that my work and my lord have me living my dreams.” She previously established herself as something of a fashion icon with a stunning sculptural Gaurav Gupta dress at the 2023 Grammys, and a heavy golden Versace gown at the 2022 Met Gala.
While in Paris, Cardi was also spotted leaving her hotel on July 5 in a massive white tulle coat, the fabric threatening to engulf her entirely. She posed with her husband Offset in a plunging sequin catsuit and majorly oversize bow-shaped clutch for the Balenciaga Haute Couture show. Of course, it wouldn’t be Cardi B without showing some curves, as proven with the skin-tight Valentino bodysuit she wore to the Messika high jewelry presentation, and another printed bodycon jumpsuit she chose for the Jean Paul Gaultier Runway show.
