How Sexy Does Lingerie Actually Make You Feel? I Put My Body on the Line for 48 Hours

When I was younger, I couldn’t wait to “grow boobs” and wear sexy matching lingerie sets every day. Every day would be a different set, depending on my mood and the occasion — or so I thought.

I soon came to find out that the reality of being an adult with boobs is that you spend a lot of time finding the most comfortable and sustainable options, rather than swanning around in gorgeous lacy numbers every day.

Because it turns out that finding lingerie that’s both sexy and comfortable is actually super hard. And that’s not for a lack of trying. I’ve often found that lacy lingerie that looks really pretty isn’t actually all that practical to wear.

Unfortunately, it’s often made with cheap, unethical products, that not only aren’t good for the environment — but also not great for our vaginas.

Ever noticed extra discharge when wearing lacy undies? Or an insistent itch? Or a stronger smell down there? Yep. That’s our vagina flora not loving the chemicals and plastics that are almost always found in sexy lingerie.

It kinda goes against the whole purpose of wearing sexy sets in the first place. IDK about you, but none of those things mentioned above make me feel particularly sexy, especially if I’m on a date or around people I want to feel flirty with. If anything, I’m more conscious of myself.

But what if it was possible to be both comfy and sexy, simultaneously?

Last week, I probably would’ve said it’s too good to be true. But this weekend just gone, I really needed a pick-me-up.

It was one of those weekends I knew would be super social. I had a hen’s party, a 21st birthday and a bar opening — all involving people in my life who really matter. So, I couldn’t miss any of it.

Plus, I’m still going through the grieving process of a break-up. I have moments of feeling alone and sad, which don’t mesh well with feeling social and vibe-y. So, I decided that feeling sexy this weekend, was my tactic — and you’ve gotta start from the inside out.

I’d been gifted three gorgeous Hello Peachiee sets — one for each event! — so now felt like the perfect time to trial whether or not sexy lingerie can actually make you feel sexy. Like, for real.
