In a rare catwalk appearance, Lila Moss opened Richard Quinn’s spring/summer 2022 show for London Fashion Week. Sitting front row was mum Kate Moss, British Vogue‘s Edward Enninful, and model Jordan Barrett who supported Lila by snapping photos and cheering her on. Moss was also joined on the catwalk by RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Bimini Bon Boulash and Tayce.
Hosted at The Londoner Hotel on Tuesday, 21 Sept., Richard Quinn’s new collection focuses on colourblocking, volume, and technical fabrics. Quinn continues its signature contrast between punchy florals and fetishistic leather looks for spring/summer 2022, while embracing rich cobalt, aubergine, and yellow jewel tones. In a press statement, the brand dedicates the new collection to “modern people with a purpose”. It continues that, “trousers are stretched and pulled to create a sense of tension and unease. Block colour combinations strike a balance between acidic brightness and softer tones, whilst the silhouettes are shaped to be angular and futuristic. As the show comes to a close, dynamic, streamlined gowns move down the runway. Split skirts create flashes of intense colour. Classic shapes are remodelled into new pieces, culminating in a vision that is bold and unafraid.”
