While Australians are well and truly on the slide into winter — and embracing all the cosy layers that come with it — Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW) is telling a very different story. On the runways, we’re seeing the best of what’s to come in the upcoming Resort ’23 collections and this theme is spilling out into the street style, too.
On day one of AAFW, we spotted no less than three Fashion Week-goers arrive at Carriageworks in one specific, Kendall Jenner-approved dress and we have a feeling we’ll be seeing plenty of this style as the warmer months approach.
Hailing from Spanish fashion house, Loewe, the Blur Print Tank Dress ($1700) is an elevated take on the tie-dye trend, with bold jewel tones meshing into one another. Made from a stretch, ribbed cotton fabric, the midi dress extends almost to the ankle and has a deep slit up the right side. True to Loewe’s signature, the branding is subtle, with an embroidered anagram at the back.
