Olivia Rodrigo traded her Vivienne Westwood corset dress for a sky-blue mini after the Grammys on Sunday. Still reeling from her three Grammy Award wins – including best pop solo performance for “Drivers License,” best pop vocal album for “Sour,” and best new artist – Rodrigo celebrated by hosting an afterparty, with Paris Hilton behind the DJ booth. Completing her “Sour” metamorphosis for the evening, Rodrigo floated out onto the dance floor in a custom Blumarine dress from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, taking inspiration from Look 22. The plunging blue halter design was embellished with a shimmering butterfly that sat right at her bellybutton. The backless dress also featured a ruffled skirt that twirled behind her as she and Hilton hit the dance floor. With a high-low silhouette that gave us a miniskirt in the front and flowing train in the back, every detail of Rodrigo’s dress harked back to the early 2000s.
Staying true to her “Sour” aesthetic, Rodrigo wore her hair in a messy updo and decorated her eyes with sequins and glitter stickers that perfectly captured the vibe of her debut-album cover. Rodrigo’s stylists, Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, finished the look with blue drop earrings and a silver rhinestone arm cuff.
Earlier in the evening, Rodrigo also made a special appearance during BTS’s performance wearing a white Givenchy dress and black fishnet tights from her “Drivers License” performance. At the award ceremony, the stars lit up the red carpet in some of the most dazzling award-show outfits we’ve seen all year, including Lil Nas X in a butterfly Balmain suit, Chloë in a sparkling disco-ball Valentino gown and cape, and Dua Lipa in a floor-length Versace dress from the ’90s archives. Extravagant opera gloves even had a moment.
