Emily Ratajkowski Addresses Those Harry Styles Make-Out Photos

Emily Ratajkowski is kissing and telling in a new interview with Spanish Vogue. In the feature, the 31-year-old model opened up about the photos of her making out with Harry Styles in Japan going viral, as well as about the perils of dating while famous.

The “High Low With EmRata” podcast host revealed that she never dreamed the pictures of her and Styles would be made public. “I didn’t expect this to happen,” she said. “I think, in general, there’s a reason certain celebrities live in [Los Angeles], hire security, don’t go to public restaurants… the idea of giving [my freedom] up for the sake of privacy is something I haven’t considered yet.”

Ratajkowski and Styles were spotted kissing in Tokyo, where the “As It Was” singer was performing, on March 25. The photos and videos quickly went viral. As a result, some media outlets began speculating about a possible feud between the model and Styles’s ex, director Olivia Wilde.

For her part, Ratajkowski was frustrated with the narrative, especially given how often Wilde has been pitted against other famous women online. “In the case [of my photos with Harry], it’s more of the same,” she said. “I feel bad for Olivia because she has had to suffer this situation on several occasions.”

Meanwhile, the model and mother of one – Ratajkowski shares son Sylvester Apollo Bear with her ex Sebastian Bear-McClard – is still learning how to navigate dating as a celebrity after the end of her marriage to Bear-McClard in 2022. “It’s very bizarre to have certain experiences and then have the whole world know about them and comment on them. I’m just a person who’s gone from a three-year relationship to a four-year relationship, so this is the first time in a long time that I’ve been in a dating stage,” she told the publication. “The interest there is in that particular area is very strange. Not that I’m surprised, but it’s a tiny slice of my life. Most of my life is focused on my son and my work.”

Since her split from Bear-McClard, Ratajkowski has been spotted with stars including Pete Davidson and Eric Andre. As for Styles, the model was the first person he has been seen with since he and Wilde broke up late last year.
