If you’re anything like me — and got properly cynical that summer was never coming — you’ll likely be in need of a beach wardrobe revamp. Which includes some cute bathers, obvs.
One of my new faves? Inclusive, sustainable and local Aussie brand, Andie Swim.
After struggling to find swimwear for a work trip, Andie Swim founder Melanie Travis had the brilliant idea to design swimwear that she’d want to wear. She figured that if she was struggling, others would be too.
“I wanted something stylish, that I felt great in, but was also appropriate for things like a work trip,” Travis says.
She found that she wasn’t the only one. When discussing her swimwear shopping woes with her colleagues, they bonded over their uncomfortable shopping experiences and lack of everyday styles available for women of all sizes and occasions.
With size inclusivity and style at the forefront, Andie Swim has become a go-to for bathers that look good and make you feel good.
“Andie’s core value is inclusivity offering a size range of AU Size 4/6 – 28/30, making it one of the most inclusive size offerings in Australia,” Travis says. “We pride ourselves in designing swimwear that makes women feel good and comfortable, empowering women to embrace themselves the way they are.”
“We believe our fit is a stand out based on the extensive sizing data and feedback from thousands of women and customers over the years. We make swimwear that women want to spend their summer in rather than dreading the swimwear season.”
With famous return clients like Demi Moore, Lena Dunham and Kim Catrall, Andie Swim is officially high-end celebrity-approved. Moore is actually one of the brands founding investors — she has been wearing and supporting the brand from the start.
Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite pieces from Andie Swim’s latest arrivals. Shop this summer for a cute, sustainable bathing suit, that will fit you perfectly (using their Fit Quiz here) and can be worn in and out of the water in style.
The Oahu
The Oahu ($65) is both stylish and sexy, coming in olive green and black and made out of their eco nylon; it’s perfect for every summer occasion.
The Molokai
The Molokai ($185) is super flattering in its wide rib and the colour of the season; olive green. With gold detailing, this one piece could easily double as a leotard with a pair of shorts or linen pants and heels.
The Molokai Top & Bottoms
The Molokai Top ($95) & Bottoms ($80) offers the perfect black basic bikini. Sexy, without giving away too much. And can double as a sports bra or crop top. Win win.
The Sorrento Top & Bottoms
I personally love The Sorrento Top ($150) & Bottoms ($85), which I own and have barely taken off since the hot days have graced us.
You can wear the top as a crop, plus it gives you extra coverage on the shoulders and back.
