Liu Yifei brought her A-game on the red carpet Monday night for the premiere of Mulan in Los Angeles. Ever since the news of the movie broke last year, we’ve been patiently waiting to see the highly anticipated live-action remake of the classic 1998 animated Disney movie. Liu, who plays the title character, stole the show in a gorgeous champagne-colored gown while joining the cast. The gold number by designer Elie Saab really showed off Yifei’s star power. Her gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a voluminous skirt that’s made for twirling.
The gown was so poofy that at one point multiple people had to come up to help adjust the princess-worthy gown while she posed for pictures. If you look closely, the gown’s bodice was covered with gold sequins and what looked like gold leaves painted on the bottom of the skirt. The actress continued her Old Hollywood-glam look by leaving her hair in soft curls. As for her jewelry, she opted out of wearing a necklace, which helped draw more attention to the gown’s gorgeous neckline, and wore a pair of dangling earrings that featured stones in the same hue as her dress. Keep reading to see all angles of her swoon-worthy gown.
