Shop the Limited-Edition Activewear Collection That Is Supporting Period Poverty
There is now a way you can purchase cute, size-inclusive activewear that supports those experiencing period poverty. From today, September 16 at 5pm, you’ll be able to shop Active Truth’s limited-edition Move4Dignity collection that supports period poverty charity Share the Dignity.
The release of the collection coincides with the launch of Share the Dignity’s exercise event, also called #Move4Dignity, which is held in October every year (you can register now!). This event encourages participants to reach a certain time or distance goal during the month of October in order to fundraise much-needed funds for the charity.
10 per cent of sales from Active Truth’s Move4Dignity collection will be donated to the charity, which in turn, will be used to provide period products to those who need them. Active Truth’s co-founder, Nadia Tucker, is proud to support this important charity for the fourth year running.
“Access to period products is a right, not a privilege. As a business run by, and for, women, this is a cause that we feel strongly about, as do our customers,” Tucker said in a press release. “Share the Dignity is run on generosity from the community, so this year we asked both our communities to get involved in the campaign.
“We received over 600 applications from women wanting to model the collection — all wanting to play their part in making a difference We have 12 women from our communities starring in the campaign.”
The five-piece collection includes activewear staples like bike shorts, leggings, and a crop top, which all come in Share the Dignity’s signature pink shade complimented with black and pinky-purple hues. This collection is limited-edition, so you’re going to want to get in quick to snap up these beauties. Do good, feel good, look good!
