Long jumper Tara Davis-Woodhall and Paralympian Hunter Woodhall continue to be couple goals. After Tara was crowned a silver medalist at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest on Aug. 20, she swiftly ran into her proud husband’s arms. Tara’s first-round jump of 6.91 meters earned Team USA a silver medal, which marks her first-ever Worlds win. Awaiting Tara in the sidelines, Hunter appeared just as happy as his wife as the two shared kisses, hugs, and laughs celebrating the big win. The sweet, emotional moment was luckily caught on camera, and you can feel their love through the screen.
After meeting as 16-year-olds at a track competition, the track-and-field couple got engaged in September 2021 and officially tied the knot in October 2022. The duo, who are now both 24 years old, have been cheering each other on since their high school days. Tara and Hunter were also captured celebrating the former’s second-place win on the field at the 2020 Olympics Track & Field team trials in 2021, wearing matching cowboy hats. Recently, after Hunter had to pull out of the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in July, Tara shared a supportive message on Instagram: “delayed but never denied,” she wrote. “you are the strongest person i know Hunter Woodhall. you sacrificed so much to be where you are and this doesn’t define you. YOU WILL be back next year on top.”
The two frequently share glimpses of their romance and athletic journeys on social media and even have a joint YouTube channel where they post vlogs about training, wedding planning, house hunting, and more.
