PlayStation State of Play Recap
Tekken 8
The iconic fighting game is back and kicked things off with a visually impressive gameplay trailer. It’s coming to PS5.
Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition
A new and improved edition of the game based on Disneyland’s Star Wars theme park is coming to PS VR2 in 2023.
Demeo
A brand new game being made for PS VR2, Demeo looks like a miniatures tabletop game where you play as both the humans rolling the dice and the miniatures themselves.
Like a Dragon: Ishin!
A new Yakuza spinoff, Like a Dargon: Ishin! takes the series back to the Edo period of Japan. It’s being released on PS5 and PS4 in February 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy got a spooky new trailer revealing the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop PlayStation exclusive quest.
Pacific Drive
A driving survival horror game that looks like you’ll upgrade and customise your car to weather all sorts of cataclysmic events. Pacific Drive is coming to PS5 in 2023.
PlayStation Stars
An update on PlayStation Stars, Sony’s new loyalty program.
Synduality
A new action RPG by Bandai Namco with giant mechs, coming out for PS5 and PS4 in 2023.
Stellar Blade (previously Project EVE)
The hack ‘n slash action fighter Project EVE has been renamed Stellar Blade, and it looks very slick. It’s a PS5 exclusive, coming out in 2023.
Rise of the Ronin
From the team who made the Soulslike Nioh comes Rise of the Ronin, an ambitious action RPG set in 1865 Japan that lets you wield katanas and swords at the same time. It’s a PS5 exclusive coming out in 2024.
God of War: Ragnarok DualSense Controller
Sony is releasing a God of War: Ragnarok-themed DualSense wireless controller to celebrate the release of the game. It features the game’s blue and white colour scheme and illustrations of two howling wolves on the touchpad. The limited edition controller will be available on November 9 along with the game.
God of War: Ragnarok
The story trailer for God of War: Ragnarok was revealed during State of Play and it gave us a juicy look at what to expect. There’s tension between Kratos and Atreus, lots of new enemies, clips of the visceral combat and stunning, sometimes otherworldly environments. The God of War: Ragnarok release date is November 9 for PS5 and PS4. You can pre-order it here.
