Here’s When Stray Releases In Australia
It’s almost time to become a futuristic feline on the run from the daily grind. Oh, to be… That’s right, the official Stray release date is July 19 and preorders are now live for the cat adventure game. But the exact release date is a little bit different in Australia. So, to make it easy (and maximise your play time), we’ve done the math and found out when Stray unlocks in Australia.
When Does Stray Unlock In Australia?
Stray will unlock at 1am on Wednesday, July 20 in Australia. Here’s the release time for other regions, too:
- Australia: 1am (AEST) July 20
- UK: 4pm (BST) July 19
- Europe: 5pm (CET) July 19
- US East-Coast: 11am (EST) July 19
- US West-Coast: 8am (PST) July 19
At this time, Stray will become available for purchase, or unlock if you preordered it. This should be the same on PlayStation and Steam, but there might be a little bit of a time difference between platforms.
Can You Preload Stray?
While you can preorder Stray now, you won’t be able to preload it. On the plus side, it’s quite small — around 10GB — so downloading it shouldn’t take too long.
If you want to play ASAP, preordering it is before July 20 at 1am is still your best option. It’s currently 10% off on Steam, where it’s the most wishlisted game, even beating Starfield and Hogwarts Legacy.
It will also be available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe members as one of July’s free games. You can sign up for a free PS Plus trial here to get seven days to play Stray and all the other hundreds of games on the service. After the seven-day trial, you can keep the subscription on a monthly, three-monthly or yearly basis or cancel at any time. The free trial is only available to new PS Plus members.
