What Is the Prediction Filter Trend?
Back in 2020, a filter called 2020 predictions went viral. Given that 2020 was a year that absolutely nothing — not even an AR Instagram filter — could predict, the filters have become a viral trend every year.
How Does It Work?
The 2022 prediction AR filters are already in, allowing you to play a virtual game that predicts how your 2022 is going to pan out. Basically, the AR filter allows you play a virtual game on your screen, in selfie-cam mode. When the filter is applied, a box appears above your head with a question. Then, it scrolls through a bunch of different options and stops on the one that applies to you.
How to Get the “In 2022, I Will Be…” Filter on Instagram
Follow the steps below to get the “in 2022, I will be…” filter on your Instagram.
Open Instagram and swipe right to open your Instagram Story.
Slide through all the filters at the bottom until you get to the magnifying glass at the end.
Click on the magnifying glass and then press the other magnifying glass in the top right corner to search filters.
Type in ‘2022 predictions’ into the search bar.
A range of different 2022 prediction AR filters will pop up that you can choose from.
Note: The original 2020 predictions filter was by a user called filippo.soccini who has continued to make filters each year since; last year for 2021, and now for 2022.
If you want to use his original filter, just scroll through the filters until you see his username. It will read: ‘2022 predictions by filippo.soccini’.
Remember: these filters are just a fun virtual game, they don’t actually have the power to predict your future. I tried a few of the different filters and got everything from ‘in 2022 you will die…’ to ‘in 2022… you will become a crypto millionaire’ and a few in between.
