Who doesn’t love a deal on a good gadget? Amazon has kicked off its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, and there are loads of personal gadgets and devices copping big discounts. To help you sort through the best ones and level up your life (or home), we’ve rounded up just a few of our favourites, from headphones to vacuums and even AR sunnies. Here are the best Amazon Black Friday gadget sales to shop.
Let’s get into it.
Best Black Friday Gadget Sales
Bose QuietComfort SC Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones ($299, Save $200.99)
A perennial favourite of the frequent traveller, the Bose QuietComfort SC Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are most commonly seen in airports and aboard planes. Not only do they offer high quality sound and lightweight comfort, they also feature some of the best noise cancellation in any headphones, anywhere. Usually, you’d be paying about $500 for a set of these over-ear cans, but Amazon has them down to under $300 for Black Friday, an insane discount. If you’ve been thinking about grabbing a pair of these for your next flight, now is the time.
Dyson V8 Extra Cordless Vacuum Cleaner ($429, Save $370)
Another perennial favourite, and the preferred stick vacuum of Millennials renting overpriced apartments where space is limited, the Dyson V8 Extra Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is currently going for a STEAL in the Amazon Black Friday sale. At a whopping 46% off, you can grab one of the most popular stick vacuums on the market. Lightweight, customisable, rechargeable, and extremely easy to clean, there are so many benefits to having this particular vacuum, and you’ll see right away why it’s such a popular choice. Also, 46% off its $799 RRP is a banger discount. Get on it.
Amazon Echo Spot (2024 Edition) ($99, Save $50)
Need a new alarm clock but missed out on the Nintendo Alarmo? Say no more. Amazon’s devices are all discounted for Black Friday, but its the newly refreshed Echo Spot bedside clock that makes a strong impression for the money. Part alarm clock, part bluetooth speaker, part AI assistant, the Echo Spot is the ideal device for anyone who loves a sleep in just a bit too much, but also likes to put some tunes on when they get home from work. At under a hundred bucks for Black Friday, its very hard to pass up.
UGREEN 145W Power Bank 25000mAh 3-Port Portable Charger ($107.97, Save $44.98)
I don’t know about you, but I feel like I always have between two and seven devices that are running out of charge at any given moment. If it’s not my phone, it’s my laptop. If it’s not the laptop, it’s my smart watch or my headphones. If you’re like me, then a power bank is exactly what you need to keep multiple devices charged when you’re on the move and lacking access to a power outlet.
Some power banks hold a high amount of charge and have multiple ports, which is great if you have lots of devices that need charging. Others have fewer ports and a smaller overall charge for when you just need to give your phone a top-up. The biggest difference between them is weight – high-capacity power banks are frequently quite heavy, something to consider if you travel a lot.
Google Fitbit Charge 6 Activity Tracker ($173.53, Save $34.47)
You’ve thought about buying a Fitbit, haven’t you? It’s okay, we’ve all thought about it. We’ve all passed through a JB Hi-Fi at one point or another and thought “I should get one of those, I think it could fix me.” Well, now you can find out for sure if that instinct was correct or not. The Fitbit Charge 6 is a complete health monitor that will track vitals like heart rate and other biometrics during your workout, while also prompting you to engage in a little mindfulness throughout the day to help with mental health too.
VITURE Pro XR/AR Glasses ($629, Save $120)
I’m including the Viture Pro XR/AR Glasses not because they’re terribly practical, but because they’re a bit funny and weird, and what kind of gadget round-up would this be without at least one item that fit that description?
The idea behind these sunglasses is that you can connect them to your phone. Your phone feeds live updates and notifications into your field of vision without having to take your phone out of your pocket. Of course, building a computer into a pair of sunglasses makes them a bit bulkier than your standard pair of Ray-Bans. Devices like this might seem a bit goofy now, but they are an emerging tech space, one that will evolve rapidly in the next few years.
We’ve come a long way from Google Glass.
