How to Take the Color Personality Test That's All Over TikTok

While many people dive into the depths of their personalities through their zodiac signs and birth charts, did you know you can also learn a lot about who you are with a colour? One trend that’s taken over TikTok is the Ktestone colour personality test, which essentially says that everyone is a combination of four colours. In addition to matching you with a colour aesthetic like “ocean depth” or “navy fiony,” the personality test provides a detailed analysis of your character traits. While some colours are paired with poetic descriptions like, “the deeper you share your feelings with me, the closer you can get to know me,” others are hilariously ruthless (for example, the colour “sprout” represents a “lazy perfectionist” who “likes to stay at home”).

Though the results seem just about as arbitrary as the How Bad is Your Spotify? trend, the colour personality test isn’t a bot that produces randomised results. It’s based on the True Colours personality profiling system created by Don Lowry in 1978. In accordance with the personality temperament theory, this test asks 12 questions to measure your levels of blue, orange, green, and gold to create a unique colour combination. The two dominant colours represent the essence of your personality: green personalities are independent thinkers, gold personalities are pragmatic planners, orange personalities are action-oriented, and blue personalities are people-oriented. Interestingly enough, if you check out the end of the URL associated with your result, you can also see four letters (such as ESFP or INTJ), which appear to tie your Ktestone colour personality test result to one of the 16 possible results of the popular Meyers-Briggs personality test.

So, where can you take the Ktestone colour personality test and how are their colour personalities determined? If you’re like me and you headed straight for the TikTok comments section with no luck, we’ve got you covered.

How to Take the Color Personality Test From TikTok

You can take the colour personality test on ktestone.com (a Korean quiz website), where you’ll be prompted with a series of questions ranging from friendship dynamics to how you prepare for a trip. Upon answering them all, you’ll see your results and be provided with detailed (and occasionally sassy) information about your very own colour personality as well as the other colours with which you’re most compatible.

Wondering what your colour is? Prepare to be roasted (it’s all in good fun!), and don’t forget to add your results under the #PersonalColorAnalysis hashtag on TikTok to find your colour twins!

Sweet Pink

Your colour personality: “The owner of positive and optimistic energy full of excitement.”

People with a sweet pink color personality may be “witty, clever, open-minded and trendy” and though you “pretend to be obedient,” you’re actually a secret leader, according to the Ktestone color personality test. It’s not all roses, though. Under the “Be careful!” section, the color personality test alleges that you may have a “fragile mentality” and “can’t tolerate losing,” among other things. You’ll get on well with people who want to spend a lot of time with you and people who “actively express their hearts.”

Vanilla Ice

Your colour personality: “A popular tearful person who hates loneliness the most.”

As a vanilla ice personality, you’ve got killer style, but “a lot of worries,” according to the Ktestone colour personality test results. You may be “good at social life,” have a lot of empathy for others, and naturally lead, but you’re prone to a lot of “emotional ups and downs.” Look for stable relationships with people who take good care of you, and are polite and gentle.

Quartz

Your colour personality: A “stubborn” person who “looks cold” but takes good care of others unconsciously.

Quartz personalities take time to warm up to people, like to be alone, and can be a bit insensitive, according to the color personality test. At the same time, you’re a detailed planner and perfectionist. As such, you may “like to interpret things from different angles” and “manage money very well.” Even though you try to avoid group activities, there’s a chance you take a leading role once you’re immersed.

Alice Blue

Your colour personality: Someone who “looks cold on the outside but [is] very warm on the inside.”

An alice blue person can be quiet and introverted, but at the same time loves attention and to “dance and sing,” according to the Ktestone colour personality test. You’re also likely to be “friendly and kind to everyone” and be delicate and sharp at the same time. That precision can make you a “prudent perfectionist” and try to analyse a situation thoroughly before acting. If someone doesn’t respect you, you’re also likely to cut them off. (Cheers for having boundaries!)

Ocean Bay

Your colour personality: A “perfectionist who has a lot of minor things in mind and lazy [at] everything but sometimes shows up [with] passion.”

Ocean bay personalities will try to solve everything themselves since they hate being relied on and also dislike relying on others, according to the Ktestone test. You could be prone to narcissism, low self-esteem, and a gloomy outlook (oof) – but things get better when you can connect with someone with whom you have a “good emotional connection” or with a “good sense of humour.” It’s just important that they make you feel special.

Dandelion

Your colour personality: “[An] active but timid person with a lot of emotional ups and downs.”

Dandelion personalities are on-the-go free spirits “who love to talk” and are “a cute piece of charm,” according to the Ktestone colour personality test results. That said, that nature can also mean you’re distracted and don’t finish what you start. Surround yourself with people who will support and understand you – after all, you likely hate being isolated, but also hate when people oppose you, too.

Warm Flame

Your colour personality: “Going [your] own way without any help.”

Fiercely independent and unafraid to speak their mind, warm flame personalities don’t put up with any B.S. As the Ktestone colour personality test says, “I make a clear cut between those I like and I don’t like.” You’re likely to live life the way you want to, and as a result, don’t have much stress. Your dark side, though, is that you may be a bit stubborn or “strong in pride.” Your best bet? Stick with people who empathise with you and communicate well.

Navy Fiony

Your colour personality: “A bulldozer full of passion, who hates hurting others the most.”

Navy fiony, you’re so concerned about harming others that you’re willing to take on all the work yourself, according to the colour personality test. That might sound heavy, but it seems you find purpose in it: your life is “always busy,” but it feels easy since you “never do what [you] don’t like.” Apparently, you also have charisma and sex appeal to boot. That said, be careful not to ignore others who may not be as sharp as you, and consider working on your ability to take criticism.

Oasis

Your colour personality: “Gentle, sincere, and good support.”

Like sand in color and likeness, oasis colour personality types have an appearance that changes depending on the situation, according to Ktestone. You may be introverted and absorb other people’s emotions easily, which can weigh you down but also makes you “a caring king.” Casual love affairs aren’t your thing, though you may have trouble saying “no” to others. Look for someone “sincere and smart” who will make you feel comfortable above all else.

Doeny

Your colour personality: “A righteous blunderer who likes people.”

Whether writing or speaking, doeny colour personalities have an “excellent ability to move people with words,” according to the Ktestone colour personality test. That creative knack can mean you’re a bit more emotional than logical, and even though you “want to be perfect,” it’s likely you’re “a mess.” You make up for it by being positive and cheerful above all else, and by making fast friends – just be careful not to always put others first. (Say it with me: Self-care!)

Periglacial Blue

Your colour personality: “You are like an honour student who consistently does anything.”

Though you generally appear calm and cautious, you likely have a sneaky side, periglacial blue. That said, it’s usually covered up by your propensity to follow rules and honor your responsibilities. As such, you’re not drawn to overly emotional people, those who are too loud, or who break promises. Don’t worry about being social out of obligation – stick with people who are polite, have a good personality, and (most importantly) have the same sense of responsibility.

Cactus

Your colour personality: “You are realistic” and possess “strong leadership” qualities.

One thing’s for sure, cactus: You know what you like and what you don’t like, and you’re not afraid to say so – at least according to the Ktestone colour personality test. Even though you may “hate being a leader,” you’re great at it, since you’re quick to notice things, analytical, and speak well. Spontaneity may be one of your least favorite things, but try to be a bit more flexible with your plans – you just might learn something new, which is apparently one of your favorite things.

Ocean Depths

Your colour personality: “Spontaneous outsider engineering student style who does all of his work with silence.”

Congrats, ocean depths, you’re great at drawing boundaries. When there’s something you want to do, you go full force; and on the flip side, if it doesn’t interest you, you can’t be bothered to even give it a try. You may struggle with emotional people since your communication style is so direct it’s almost “mechanical,” but you’ll value someone else who’s honest and not shy (since you likely won’t make the first move yourself).

Sprout

Your colour personality: A “lazy perfectionist” who “likes to stay at home.”

Give yourself more credit, sprout. According to the colour personality test, you don’t think you’re good, but others do. You’re adept at perceiving the needs of others, and as such, people instantly feel comfortable with you. All that said, you also may struggle with motivation and any situation where there’s conflict – in fact, Ktestone calls you “king of lazy kings.” Stick with people with similar values and kindness, and you’ll open your heart.

Rosebud

Your colour personality: “A popular [person] who takes action rather than thinking.”

“Weak to temptation,” spontaneous, free, and full of confidence, you’re the life of the party, rose bud. That said, those good-time vibes can lead you to procrastinate and mean you may lack a filter when expressing yourself. You hate serious atmospheres and when someone tries to rob you of your independence. Look to connect with those who are also flexible and whimsical.

Serulian

Your colour personality: “Silent but sometimes naughty, lazy genius.”

Quiet, calm, and mysterious, serulian (yes, like “cerulean” but spelled differently) personalities are happy alone and may be very sensitive under the surface. Your “lazy genius” label comes from the fact that you put off things you need to do – but once you start them, you finish them with ease. You may lack some empathy or not care much about others, but at the same time, you aren’t the type to harm anyone. When it comes to your connections with others, you won’t text or call unless it’s absolutely necessary, but it doesn’t mean you don’t care.
