For the Final Full Moon of the Year, It’s Time to Reflect Back on the Year That Was
2021 is coming to a close and it’s safe to say that it’s been an incredibly trying two years. And, before the year ends, we have one more full moon taking place on December 19 at 3:35pm AEDT, which gives us the opportunity to reflect on all that has happened in recent times.
While that might sound like an incredibly daunting task, it’s not intended to be. Full moons symbolise conclusions and realisations, offering us a time to look back to the previous month, or in this case, year and observe what has changed in that time period to where we are now. And, there’s no better time to do that than as we close out one year and look forward to a new one.
This full moon is also taking place in Gemini, with an opposing Sagittarius Sun and the combination of these two signs invites you to find a balance between your thinking. While Gemini energy encourages you to look to your own environment and backyard, Sagittarius wants you to go beyond and think more broadly. You’ll be torn between the micro and the macro, but use the full moon energy to try and achieve a little of both.
It’s also not uncommon to experience a full-circle moment around this time with something that may have started a couple of weeks earlier when the new moon occurred. And for this particular full moon, it could be related to a new romantic connection. According to Cafe Astrology, this moon is “a time for romance, fertilisation, and relationships”.
It’s set to be an emotional time as well, as your emotions bubble to the forefront. Over the next two weeks, you might feel emboldened to release these feelings but do take care with the delivery given the impact the full moon energy can have on one’s behaviour. Be sure to go easy on those around you and when you do release your feelings (whether good or bad), do it as gently as possible.
As we look forward to a new year, pay attention to what worked and what didn’t work this year. Using the full moon energy to take stock and give yourself feedback on your own life means you can use this information to inform your future. It’s a time of growth, so get ready to grow!
And last but not least, enjoy this time. Savour your downtime over the coming weeks and recharge for the new year ahead. Happy full moon!
