Hey Upper East Siders, we know you’re excited about the new Gossip Girl reboot — coming to BINGE on July 8 — and while we’re not yet done poring over the steamy trailer for clues about what’s to come, we’d like to take a moment to remember the original trust fund babies that ran NYC, dropping yogurt bombs and sipping martinis.
Blair, Serena, Dan, Chuck, Nate, Vanessa and Little J: they’re the spoilt, entitled and impossibly fashionable Gossip Girl protagonists we loved to watch ruin each others’ lives (and then sit down to Thanksgiving dinner), but those days are behind them as now they live drama-free lives in their 30s.
GG and her blog are likely long forgotten, but no doubt the socialites are still incredibly stylish, probably still living in Manhattan in impeccably decorated apartments.
In celebration of Gossip Girl‘s reboot, Modsy, a virtual interior design firm, has taken the liberty of designing these lavish homes according to how they might look today.

Chuck and Blair’s Upper East Side Townhouse
Of course Chuck and Blair’s future home is the perfect blend of their individual tastes. These two always did complement each other, even when they were toxic and problematic… but I digress.
Chuck and Blair’s modern-day home is a seamless composition of classic and bold, with vintage decor and modern art pieces.
“Blair’s love for Paris is signified through the French, cool-girl styling and gorgeous classic architecture paired with modern design pieces. Chuck’s masculine vibes come out in the dark wood of the nightstands and the metal accents of the bed, side table, and mirrors,” says Modsy’s VP of Style Alessandra Wood.
Easter eggs in the home include a picture of Serena on Blair’s nightstand and a dog bed for Monkey.

Serena and Dan’s West Village Home
Serena and Dan made a compromise to live in the West Village, a cool blend of Brooklyn and the Upper East Side. Their modern home makes the most of Serena’s whimsical style but is littered with books in a nod to Dan’s literary profession.
Wood says: “Their style would be much more down to earth and comfortable than Chuck and Blair’s traditional digs. Their interior would reflect Instagram trends with a relaxed, California vibe.”

Jenny’s Eclectic Design Studio
Edgy, moody and yet super on-trend, Jenny’s design studio has to be our favourite space with vintage furniture and metal accent pieces.
“Jenny’s home office is a bold and chic space that shows she’s trend-forward and a total tastemaker. The glamorous space is in a loft with huge rays of sun shining through the industrial window,” says Wood. “It’s the perfect setting for her to get creative and design stunning outfits for her growing fashion business.”
The J for Waldorf bag shows Jenny is still working with Blair.
