It’s been proven that watching live music can do wonders for your mental health. But, with 1,300 live music venue closures in Australia since COVID-19, our opportunities to see local artists on stage are becoming slimmer and slimmer.

However, Nando’s wants to change this — they’ve just announced the Chicken Shop Sessions. They’ll give beloved local artists a chance to showcase their talents inside a Nando’s restaurant. Great music and great food — a combo not to be missed.

This event will showcase four of Australia’s best and brightest acts will be delivering performances that are anything but mild. In fact, stretching across a range of genres and styles, Nando’s inaugural Chicken Shop Sessions will offer something for everyone.

The line-up for the very first Chicken Shop Sessions, taking place the same weekend that Australia’s biggest music festival was set to before its cancellation, is topped with iconic producer and label-head Nina Las Vegas. Not only is she a festival mainstay, but she’s also devoted to spotlighting up-and-coming artists. Feels like the perfect Chicken Shop Sessions headliner, right?

Joining Nina on the bill are the likes of magical singer-songwriter Ishan, raucous rapper/producer CHAII and indie rock-quartet Coterie. It’s a line-up that caters to the different tastes of so many, kind of like Nando’s chicken. There’s something for everyone here.
